Westwood Vista is a 41-unit apartment building in West Seattle that is currently undergoing a major remodel. It is one of the first projects to be put through the new tenant relocation laws, time-frames, and restrictions. We’ve worked with the city to meet their changing concerns and ideas and completed the remodel in June of 2019.
In addition to our normal remodel, we were able to add a legal bedroom to each unit. This created a significant upside with all the one-bedroom units becoming two-bedroom units and all the two-bedroom units becoming three-bedroom units.
We purchased the Westwood Vista for $6,000,000 in 2016 and Sold it for $12,250,000 in 2019. This was a 32.6% per-year return over three years.
